Sketch Walk in Paris
Sketching is a way of recording what you see and how you feel in the moment through simple, spontaneous lines.
It isn't about creating a perfect drawing.
It's about capturing a moment, a scene, or a feeling.
Travel sketching means travelling with a pen and paper. Rather than simply taking a photograph, you use your own eyes — and your own time — to connect with the place and the moment you're experiencing.
Sketching is approachable and beginner-friendly, while also being one of the fundamental practices valued by artists across many forms of drawing and painting.
In a city as beautiful as Paris, take home not only beautiful memories, but also a new way of creating.

You don't need to know how to draw. All you need is a willingness to observe and give it a try.

I'll provide all the materials you need. All you need to bring is:
Comfortable shoes for walking
Clothes you're comfortable sitting on the ground in, as some locations may not have seating — trousers are recommended
Sun protection or rain gear depending on the weather

A 2 hour experience wandering through Le Marais, one of Paris's most fascinating neighbourhoods.
Shaped by centuries of urban history, Le Marais today brings together fashion, art, heritage — with countless streets and buildings carrying stories of their own.
I'll guide you through the neighbourhood, helping you slow down and observe what is around you before turning what you see into your own sketches.

Booking Information
Each session opens with a minimum of 2 participants, with a maximum of 4 people per group.
Currently taking bookings for Saturday, September 12 in the morning.
If you'd like another time, groups of two or more, please get in touch to arrange a private or alternative session. :)
Three days before the experience, you'll receive a confirmation email with the exact meeting point and details of the day's itinerary.

Booking Information
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation more than 72 hours before the experience: full refund, minus applicable processing fees. For a Saturday 10:00 AM experience, cancellations must be received by email before 10:00 AM on the preceding Wednesday.
Cancellation within 72 hours of the experience: no refund.
Late arrival: participants arriving more than 10 minutes after the scheduled start time are not eligible for a refund.
No-show: no refund.
Bad weather: the route includes weather alternatives, so the experience will generally go ahead in light rain. In the event of severe weather that makes the experience impossible, you'll be notified by email the day before and can opt for reschedule or a refund.

I've never drawn before. Can I still join?
What happens if it rains?
Absolutely! I'll introduce simple, beginner-friendly sketching techniques and ways of looking at the world, so you can get started without pressure and enjoy the experience.
The route includes weather alternatives, and the itinerary will be adjusted accordingly.
If the weather becomes too severe, you'll be notified in advance and can choose to reschedule or receive a refund.
I'm quite introverted and not very comfortable socialising. Is this experience for me?
Absolutely. This is an intimate small-group experience for a maximum of four people.
Any interaction and discussion is built around respect, sincerity, and making sure everyone feels comfortable.
How is this different from an online sketching class?
Online classes are often based on drawing from photographs. When you sketch on location, you learn to observe the three-dimensional world directly and translate what your eyes see into a two-dimensional composition.
I already have sketching experience. Will I still learn something new?
Definitely. I'll offer guidance to help you discover new ways of creating. Also, you'll learn the neighbourhood's history and culture and exchange ideas with the other participants — all of which can inspire you in unexpected ways.
Do I need to bring my own pens, paper, or other materials?
I'll provide all the materials you'll need during the experience.
Just bring yourself, a curious mind, comfortable walking shoes, and clothes you're happy to sit on the ground in.
There is no specific age limit. The experience includes approximately 30 minutes of walking on mostly flat ground.
As long as you are comfortable walking and holding a pen, you can participate. Participants under 18 should be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
